[TechWeb] December 18th news, according to the U.S. financial website CNBC reported Monday local time, bitcoin prices rose sharply, rising to more than $3400 to buy a lot of thanks to Japan and the Hongkong stock exchange.
Local time Monday, on the Bitstamp trading platform, bitcoin rose as high as 11%, to $3437.57, a record of the largest one-day gain since November 28th. But bitcoin prices from record highs in December last year fell by about 80%, in the past three months, the cumulative decline of nearly 50%.
According to the price of well-known encryption currency tracking website CoinMarketCap.com data show that bitcoin prices in December 17, 2017 reached a peak just above $19475. Since then, the price has been difficult to close to this level.
CoinMarketCap.com data show that the total market value of encryption currency from $592 billion in December 2017 dropped to about $109 billion this week. (Fox)
